Frequently asked questions
- What day is changeover? – Changeover day is usually on a Saturday apart from over the Christmas and New Year period when this is flexible. During the low and mid seasons, however, it may be possible to arrange a different changeover day.
- Do you take bookings for short breaks? – During the peak and high seasons the minimum stay is usually one week. Out of season, short breaks are welcome. These are priced at £80 per night with a minimum stay of three nights.
- When can we check in / check out? – Brodog Court is available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and we ask you to vacate by 11 a.m. on your day of departure.
- Is the house suitable for children? – Children are welcome at Brodog Court. If you have very small children, please be aware that it is a three storey property with the main living area on the first floor; we would advise locking the French windows and closing the fire door to the staircase when using this space.
- Is Brodog Court suitable for people with disabilities? – The main living area is located up a flight of stairs, although there is a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. If you have specific accessibility requirements please contact us to ensure the house is suitable.
- Can we bring our pet? – Unfortunately, due to the communal nature of the courtyard, we cannot accommodate pets.
- Is the house no smoking? - To reflect the wishes of the majority of our guests, Brodog Court is strictly no smoking.
- Is there anywhere we can store bikes? – Yes. There is a communal storeroom where you can store bikes and other large items such as surf boards. The door to this is to the left of the entrance to the house and the key will be on the key ring with the front door key.
- Is bed linen provided? - Yes. One set of bed linen per person per week is provided free of charge. If you are staying for more than one week, you can contact the cleaner (telephone number in the Information Pack at the house) to arrange a change of linen, also free of charge.
- Are towels provided? - In accordance with the requirements of our 4 Star rating from the Welsh Tourist Board we offer guests the choice of bringing their own bath and hand towels or hiring them from us at a charge of £2.50 per person per week.
- What if my child needs a change of bed linen? – There is a washing machine and tumble dryer at the house for the use of guests. There are waterproof mattress protectors in the chest of drawers in the children’s room; if you think your child may require it, we would be grateful if you could fit one to a bunk bed.
- Is there equipment for infants? – There is a Mothercare ‘classic’ travel cot with removable mattress which is quick and easy to assemble. The manufacturers describe it as suitable from birth to 24 months, or until your child can climb out. Please note that we do not supply bed linen for this. There is also a high chair and a baby bath seat. Please let us know if you wish to use these items so we can explain where they are stored in the house.
- Are there any additional costs not included in the price? - There are no additional costs for bed linen, heating or electricity as these are all included in the weekly price. Towels can be provided at a cost of £2.50 per person per week, or you can choose to bring your own. The only other additional charge we would have to make is 3.5% on debit/credit card transactions due to the fees imposed on us by Paypal. Payments made by cheque do not incur this charge.
